Dragon Ball Super rumored to return this July
It has been almost a year since Dragon Ball Super concluded back in March 2018. Ever since there have been rumors of the possible return of DBS. Rumors of DBS’s return have been going around for quite some months now, but according to various different sources, Dragon Ball Super will indeed be returning this July. If the rumors are true, official confirmation will likely follow in the upcoming weeks of this month.
Geekdom101, a major insider on the news regarding the return of Dragon Ball Super, has confirmed that the next episodes of DBS are in production. In his recently published YouTube video, he mentioned that the new series would take place after the events of Dragon Ball Super: Broly and could possibly last another three years, just like its predecessor.
Geekdom also confirmed that Naohiro Shintani, the artist who drew the models for the recently released Dragon Ball Super: Broly Movie, will be in charge of the character design for the upcoming series. He also claims that the anime has been in the works for quite some time now. Production of the new episodes began as early as last fall.
YonKouProductions, another popular insider in the Japanese animation scene has also confirmed the “return of Dragon Ball Super”. Both Geekdom and YonKouProductions speculate that an official announcement could happen at the end of April when the 30th anniversary of Dragon Ball Z happens.
Unfortunately, that’s all the current information we have. Remember however that the insiders themselves have stated that these are all rumors and as such, they should be taken with a grain of salt. For now, all we can do is wait till the end of the month, wishing for an official announcement to free us from all these rumors.
