Dragon Ball Super may have ended, but Toei and Shueisha are constantly pushing out more and more Dragon Ball Content. Recently fans were treated to the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie which was a huge success and helped to increase the franchises’ popularity. Alongside with Super Dragon Ball Heroes and the DBS Manga on the rolls as well, fans are pretty satisfied but still waiting for the return of the official anime series.
We may not have any news on the anime’s return -yet, but we do have confirmation for the next Dragon Ball Super Movie courtesy of Akio Iyoku, the chief editor for Shueisha. In a recent interview with the editor, which was uploaded on Twitter, according to Terez “Iyoku is the only person at Shueisha who talks to Toriyama.” This is what Iyoku had to say about the upcoming movie:
“We are steadily making preparations for the next Dragon Ball movie. I think Dragon Ball will continue from here on out so we want you all to look forward to what’s coming up next. There are a bunch of things that we could not do this time, so I think whatever comes next will be even more incredible. Please look forward to it.”
So, the next Dragon Ball Super Movie is 100% confirmed and is already being worked upon. On top of that, they want to make it better than DBS: Broly. This doesn’t mean that there won’t be an anime, we will have to wait for an official announcement for the anime to return.
Norihiro Hayashida, the producer of DBS: Broly, backed up these comments. Toei has yet to make an official announcement for the upcoming film, but this interview has given hope to many fans who were starting to question Dragon Ball Super’s return.
