Dragon Ball Super: 5 storylines the series should explore

Dragon Ball Super 2, the next season of DBS, has been rumored to return for quite a long time now. With confirmation that new episodes of the series are under development, fans can’t wait to see what storyline the upcoming series will pursue. There are plenty of plots and storylines that could be used to continue the franchise’s narrative. Here are five storylines that should be explored by the upcoming series.

5. Training Broly

Dragon Ball Super 2

There is no denying that Dragon Ball Super: Broly was a massive success for the franchise. With Broly finally being added into the canon, there is a lot of potential for the Legendary Super Saiyan. During the closing scenes of the movie, Goku offers to train Broly in return for a strong sparring partner. This offer leaves room for some great story potential, an arc where the two Saiyan’s regularly meet up to train would be an excellent way to start off the series. The arc could even dig into characters like Cheelai and Lemo.

4. Make Gohan great again

Dragon Ball Super 2

One of the biggest disappointments for fans was the deteriorating character development of Gohan as a main character. Ever since his battle with Super Buu, Gohan has been continually sidelined to the point that he has become pretty much of an insignificant character. Considering how powerful and skilled of a warrior Gohan is, he definitely deserves to get some more screen time.

3. More Android 17

Dragon Ball Super 2

The fan-favorite Android 17 finally made a comeback during the Tournament of Power arc. He not only played a pivotal part during the tournament but he also got a unique little backstory that fans are desperately waiting to see. Let’s hope that he makes a come back into the main cast and we finally get to see some information regarding his private life.

2. The Universe 6 Saiyan’s

Dragon Ball Super 2

Despite playing a major role in the Tournament of Power, we still don’t know very much about the Universe 6 Saiyan’s. This would make for an excellent filler arc where the Saiyan’s planet would be explored and even cover some of Cabba and Kefla’s adventures. Vegeta himself promised to visit their Planet, so this is definitely going to happen sooner or later.

1. Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc

Dragon Ball Super 2

The Dragon Ball Super Manga is currently going through one of its most interesting arcs so far. The Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc follows the story of Goku and Vegeta as they attempt to defeat an escaped intergalactic villain known as Moro. The arc has introduced plenty of new characters and has even continued upon the pre-established lore. With plot twists and cliffhangers in almost every chapter of the Manga, this arc is most likely to be explored first in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super 2.
